The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area every day. The support position made for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who go to a sassa status service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to help the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
